Do you like documentaries?
Part of my experience in Canada is to watch North American documentaries.
By chance I found this great page with dozens of documentaries on North American as well as Global issues. It's really interesting ... and a good opportunity to learn English:

We have cable ... thus, I get most of the famous channels ... from CNN to Fox ... and also Canadian channels like CBC, CTV, Global, and so on.
